Working with couples - of all shapes and sizes!

Working with couples is a real privilege.  I am experienced in working with all types of relationship including same-sex relationships, heterosexual relationships, pan-sexual and polyamorous.

The early stages of couples’ work involves finding out more about the origins and nature of the relationship.  I aim to deeply understand the experience of each member of the relationship – “what has it been like to be in this relationship at this time?”
We look at the early relational experiences of each member of the couple and then consider how the current relationship may or may not be replaying some of that experience.

Couples work has a clear contract and agreed outcomes – so all parties feel accounted and the work has value – moving towards a shared goal.

Why isn't our relationship working?

Couples work is available to provide a safe environment to bottom out the difficulty and hopefully to lead to a resolution. People come to couples work for all sorts of different reasons inlcuding those attempting to stay together, those attempting to end a relationship in the most successful way and other areas of exploration.
